Mike Robinson, VP of Sustainability and Global Regulatory Affairs for General Motors, talked about how much it means to GM (as a company) to be named to this illustrious list, stating that, “Being listed among environmental leaders like Walmart and IKEA reinforces our progress in reducing our energy use. We understand the environmental and business benefits of using renewable energy and we look forward to building on it with our new commitments.”
GM already may be earning praise as far as solar energy implementation is concerned, but their work is far from done in their eyes. Last year, GM announced their unwavering commitment to solar energy by looking to double their solar output to 60 megawatts over the next three years. That’s not all, GM is also looking to increase their renewable energy use to 125 megawatts by year 2020!
